how you can save money easily
08:40:00Buy food wisely
Always make a list when shopping, stick to a budget and calculate the food as your shopping down the aisles (that's what I do). It seriously helps, because no-one likes a shock at checkout.
When making your list, do it properly. Look through your cupboards, freezer and fridge to see what you need - plan your meals.
Supermarkets do amazing alternatives for your favorite foods. ASDA are great for this, and it will save you money over time. Buying pasta and rice in bulk can be a lifesaver as well as stocking up on jar pasta sauces as they have a great shelf life.
Trade in Fizzy drinks & juice to save
If you're an avid sugar filled drinker, you can save money (and weight) by having water with a slice of lemon and lime or any fresh fruit you love the flavour of. I love Coca Cola and diluted juices, but sometimes they aren't as important as other things that I may need to buy so I trade it in for cold water with a slice of lemon, it's refreshing and very hydrating - the health benefits are amazing too!
Stock up on offers in store
Every store has offers, some come and go and it's great to see a deal that will benefit your budget overall. I tend to stock up on 'buy one get one free' or 'buy two and save' as I feel they are worth it. I think it's important to think about the deal, if it's something that you will benefit by stocking up on then go for it. Some offers might be fresh ingredients or products that have a quick expiry date, these types of offers usually waste your money.
Dry Shampoo is your new BFF
Save on Shampoo and shower usage by making your hair's cleanliness last longer. My top tip for making your hair feel the benefits of using dry shampoo is to put some in before you sleep then again in the morning when you style it.
Switch to Freeview
If you have internet and a Sky or Cable package you could save by quitting the extra TV channels you have (most importantly if you don't use them). These days you can watch a lot of your favorite programmes via your laptop or tablet so saving extra pennies from a TV subscription could be a profitable choice.
Change the way you eat
Plan our meals, that can sound boring but I honestly think it's not. I take in lunch for work every day, a salad bowl with a pitta isn't costly, but if you bought that from a shop thats £3 easily gone just for the salad..
There's great ways to make your meals fun and inspiring for work, I love to have banana and peanut butter, yogurt and muesli, pesto pasta bowls, veg and noodles.. the list can go on. (I would love to hear what you guys have for your work lunch!)
