Egg Makeup Sponge Review

I remember when I use to apply foundation with my fingertips, thinking this was the best way to create natural looking skin. Although using my fingertips wasn't the best idea, it certainly wasn't the worse.
I moved on to using a foundation brush purchased from Superdrug, the brush itself looked great ( it was Superdrug's own branded one) and I've been using it for month. But after some time I just wasn't feeling it, my face has small sections where its dry (between the eyebrows and the sides of my nose) so i was craving for something more effective. I saw lots of fuss over the egg sponge & thought I would give it a shot, so iff to Primark I headed.
Firstly, I applied the foundation with the dry sponge and wasn't impressed, the second day I decided to use the sponge damp; oh wow - the results are much better.
I would recommend you to try it while the sponge is damp, it gives better coverage and surprisingly you don't need to use much foundation. Simply squirt your foundation on one hand as a palette, then apply with your good hand.
The great thing about this sponge is the shape, you have different angles and size on the sponge that allows you to reach the smaller areas of your face (sides of nose and under eyes) and bigger sections for the more open areas (the cheeks and forehead).
For me, the sponge allows the foundation to sink in the skin more & because it's slightly damp it adds a little moisture to my skin so the dry areas are treated nicer and they look better.
Have you used the sponge, what do you think?

Makeup Sponges seem to be the new IT item in our makeup bags. I'm using one from nanshy and it is so soft and I feel the sponge can apply foundation more evenly than a makeup brush. Plus they are easier to clean and you can just throw them away after a few uses.
