My week in food #2
11:33:00
My new favourite way to prepare roasties, par boil, sprinkle oil and douse with dried parsley and garlic salt, Keep the skins on so they're extra crispy! I oven bake these for a good 35-40 minutes.
I'm a sucker for Mexican food and my favourite things to eat are taco shells filled with Quorn mince, peppers, shallots and sweetcorn, vegetable rice and side salad.
A mid week comfort of mine is Mac & Cheese, and here's my plant based one. Soya milk, dijon mustard, garlic salt, yeast and flour. The mustard made it taste too over powering so I need to find an alternative, if you have any recipes please send them my way :)
Something simple and quick for a Saturday afternoon, I was feeling super hungry so I had 2 jacket potatoes, baked beans and mushrooms.
For my birthday me and my boyfriend celebrated by going for a meal at Bills in the Bullring Birmingham, it was so nice, the atmosphere was relaxing and the views were nice too! I had a halloumi burger served with skin n fries.
To wash down my halloumi burger and fries I opted for the watermelon, peach and strawberry smoothie which was quite nice but I'm not sure if I would have this again.
I love to treat myself to a Kirspy Kreme now and then and I couldn't resist the cookie crunch, it was soooo nice!
If you're looking for a new place to enjoy cocktails you might want to check out Sobar, situated in The Arcaidian in China Town.
My friend got me some super cute and delicious treats for my birthday, which included Jamie Lang's Candy Kittens sweets and Joe & Seph's popcorn! Yummy!
