A black coat is a wardrobe must-have when you are in need of a classic coat in the winter. I left it incredibly late to get a new coat, but the wait was worth it. I love wearing plain clothes, basics just have a raw elegance to them, like a blank canvas that doesn't need fancy frills. I reckon this is why it's great to shop for a coat that speaks volumes so you don't have to overdo your look in other areas. 

Talking of basics, I think that H&M are my go-to place for great quality plain tops and jackets. The shirt I am wearing is from H&M and it's featured in a few of my outfit posts such as 'Mixing Prints' where basic tops come in handy! What do you think of basics?
