Hand Made Bodycon dress

I spoke recently about my fashion designing and how I am going to build and specialise my designs for top/tee's/shirts. Before I wanted to kick start this I needed to finish off a dress that I was making last year and I never got round to neatening it up. The dress is something I am very proud of. Originally, I made this to practice my dress making skills and to overcome my fear of sleeves. The final outcome is more than what I expected. It made me believe that I can make wearable clothing, as I was at a stage of self doubt and loss of identity. The two fabrics complement each other, the restrain of the black fabric hold your figure showing off your silhouette while the sleeves wrap around your skin. The sheer fabric is one of my favorite materials I have bought and I will be on the hunt for some more, it's stretchy and surprisingly easy to work with.

The dress has an edgy glam rock notion to it, adding a statement necklace and a super cute clutch would work well for a night out. To dress this one down I would wear a bowler hat, biker boots and a light jacket.

I hope you like my dress, I am relieved that I have finished it and it's an ending to my direction, but a beginning of a new story.
